Procrastination for me is a skill. I've mastered the art of procrastination and can do it in my sleep or... By sleeping.
Call it my meditation, the sip of chai latte while reading a well-written novel, the soothing pitter-patter of rain on a window, I've discovered the prodigious beauty of procrastination.
It opens a door while closing another. Sure, your supposed to be reading your online textbook on Greek costumes but instead found a delicious recipe for peanut butter chocolate brownies. Which you later surprise the family with because you never bake or talk to the them, ever. But since you have the Greek costumes waiting on you to write a 300-word paper on, you feel like you can talk to the family today. You have plenty of time.
Before you know it, it's eleven o'clock and the family is heading to their rooms. But before they lay their heads down, you want to make sure they know you love them: a hug first, then a kiss on BOTH cheeks, then have one more dearing conversation tell them you love them, and repeat steps for the next family member.
Next thing you know it's 1 hour before the assignment is due and you don't know what you've been doing with your life!
But thanks to God, it's done ;)
